I spent a delightful evening on Friday to kick off my weekend by watching The 3 Musketeers at Greenwich Theatre. The action in this version takes place in the French city of Carcassonne.
From the moment d’Artagnan bounded onto the stage, you can’t help rooting for him as he sets out to join the Musketeers. The Musketeers have style, swagger, and dialogue filled with wit and humour. Made me wish that I could tag along on their adventures. Cardinal Richelieu is sinister and quite enjoyable to follow in his evil plotting.
The sword fights are quite mesmerizing but the show isn’t all flashing blades and daring escapes. There are messages of courage, standing up for each other and the test of friendships.
It’s fun, it’s fast-paced, and it’s packed with all the swashbuckling glamour you could want. So if you’re or your kids are yearning/looking for a show that leaves you/them buzzing and maybe dreaming of adventure, this is the one to see.

The rotating cast comprises Louise Cielecki (Whipped Up!, Watford Palace Theatre 2025; Beauty
and the Beast, Dick Whittington and his Cat, Snow White, Greenwich Theatre), Jack Benjamin
